I got a Actron remote starter starter from local flaps. Somewhere around $12.00 pistol grip, works well for me as i mostly work alone

Pull your starter out and clean and lubricate the plunger in the solenoid. This needs to be done every every 5-10 years. I did both my 83 1/2 Vanagon and my Bay last year, just part of normal ownersh ...

If it stall's in wet weather ONLY. I would think distributor cap and or plug wires could be the problem. Perhaps the coil as well. You could replace all three for $125.00 to $150.00 or so. And go from ...
