They installed subpar parts. Your CV flange is easily visible for inspection when they replaced the axle assembly. The differential is inside the tranny, not 2 separate units like American cars.

Fuel injection is better in pretty much every way as it can adjust with conditions like elevation and gets better MPG as a result.

That piece is installed in the cruise control pedal switch bracket for the switch to thread into. Find someone parting a factory cruise system.

Sounds silly but have you adjusted your rear brakes? That brings up the pedal on the stock system when the automatic adjusters seize.

There is quite a bit less media in the vanagon cats, probably more worth the effort to focus on other makes/models.
I have heard a few prius driving by with open exhaust due to cat theft.

I haven't seen those offered new, used is your best bet. You may have to post a WTB ad as those are rarely asked for.
VW simply calls it trim, pretty useless name for someone asking for it.

I have used jbweld to fix cosmetic gouges on AL rims prior to paint without issue. Some minor curb rash was easy to hide with it.

The plastic handle sleeves are part of the dropgate latch, VW didn't offer them separately.

The spindle nut is the same for all of the 2wd vanagons.
