Swepco is not bad in the cold. But the problem I find further north is the number of days of lower than 0 F.
Even a small inconvenience becomes a big one if you drive it daily or regularly for months ...

No vehicles, Golfs, Jettas or Passats in the US with the mechanical 1.9 l td AAZ engine.

Canada had some but not very numerous. I had 2 Jettas with that engine.

Stock, very "detuned", ...

From injector #1 we can see it is not a TDI, as in Direct Injection but an IDI older style Indirect Injection.

The 3 little plastic caps on the valve cover bolts and a few details on the injector ...

Just an observation, they can be produce with any mods you judge appropriate, but the crest and lettering
are only 1mm thick in the originals.

The circle around the 4WD is the same as the VW crest on the stock cap 50mm.

The 4WD is 44mm.

Yup, I always put it on the front driver wheel.

I have the 65-PC1750 under the passenger seat. It fits well on it's side, terminals pointing forward,
with some minor trimming of the battery box.

Yup..that's the basic idea..but..

If you are thinking of driving the van without the bar I would recommend:

undo the bar from the brackets but leave the brackets attached to the van, then Magive ...
