I think the US campers did it that way because they were using 4'x8' paneling, which is too narrow to do it all in 1 sheet. Westys did the 1 piece across thing as their panel sizes were different.

So I ended up using a 40hp cylinder sealing ring from the pile of leftover gasgets, cut at a 45 and fit to the heat riser. The ring is a good beefy size, bigger than the intake sealing rings I tried ...

I bet he put some gouges in that shiny wheel with his screwdrivers, could be a little more careful, also if you pry the tire on from the backside of the wheel any damage will be on the inside.
