Welcome to The Samba.

If the clutch gets saturated with oil then it will start slipping to the point it won't hold anymore. You might get lucky for another few 1000 miles or it could end in 10 mile ...

I have the Berg rear traction bar on my Ghia with over 200 1/4 passes I have not noticed and body distortion or cracking.

I weld a 3"x3"X3/8" plate on the lowest part of the muffler when mounted on the car. This acts as a skid plate. It won't stop any major hits but will help with a few minor scrapes.
