Agree. 2.5 to 3psi is perfect IMOP.

I wouldn't sweat 2.0 psi either.

Personal opinion is between 2.5 and 3, but I have run a little higher without problems. Not going to hurt running it at 2.

I agree with it looking like a cheap, Chinese 034 copy. To check the existing vacuum canister, take it off the distributor. The cheap pivot plate could be locked up or jammed.
