If that part is melted then the combination valve is probably bad and stuck open letting exhaust blow through it. there's a good chance it also ruined the air pump too.

Either one. What Iím saying is it is possible to use the transverse accessories bracket with the inline mounts. Takes a little cutting but it will work and gives you a very compact setup.

It does all fit together, it is a little tight and requires some cutting and grinding but you can use the Passat mount and bracket and the MK4 accessories. I have done it a few times.

Did you check the power AND the ground at the hall sensor?

touching points to the outer two wires in the Hall sensor wire connector shows between 6-9V

The longitudinal coolant parts are much easier to work with just like the longitudinal motor mount parts when putting these in the vans.
