I used lifted spindles from Nate @ www.wagenswest.com . Just give him a call and tell him what you are looking for. They bolt right on and you could always do the cut/turn thing for extra lift.

I too, would go Class 11 style, which is exactly what I'm doing . You can always go full Baja later one if the full body style doesn't work for you.

im not sure how the law works there but it is completely obvious that a bug is lifted. the parts can look completely stock no problem but the whole car looks different.

It's been a while. The wandering was caused by the rear shocks being way too soft. The rear is still soft, but will hopefully be fixed with the next valving. It drives pretty good now. No freeway ...
