Another Landmark is in the classifieds now. I also added the pics to the gallery to save them after the ad disappears.

It’s a 1978 so I will look at the link |
no problem. as you have figured out, it is drivers side under dash on the fresh air duct. a couple of blind cell phone pics should get it for you. no need to remove the speedo cluster.
depending on the level of work going into your bus, the best pic I have ever seen of the late M plate was when someone drilled out the rivets on the reflector housing of the blinker. It was right there! some reach up pics should be good enough usually. |

Please could anyone tell me where to find the M plate please. I can’t find mine. Also does anyone know what the centre caps for the wheels were? Mine doesn’t have them. I think the previous owner sold them |

I had one back in when I was in college. I miss it very much. My uncle gave it to me. It was missing the bench seat and ladder. It had a sunroof and the sliding door came off the track. It was painted all white and had stock vw wheels. 4th gear went out on a road trip and we had to tow it back to my apartment. I gave it to my friend, who had the funds to fix it, when I left college and told him I wanted to buy it back when he was done with it. My stupid brother swapped the jumper cables and fried the computer and my beloved bus was sent to a junk yard out in Utah without anyone telling me. I would have rescued it. I wanted to know what the company was that made the conversion since I had never seen one other than mine. I saw one on craigslist and asked the guy selling it if he knew who made it and he never got back to me. I just found out tonight and came across this post. Woohoo! Now when I have some extra cash and can afford one I am going locate one and it will be mine. I would prefer the one I owned but think it might be scrap by now. I got rid of it in 2001. Its been too long without it. |

Wow, sure looks like the pic of the Chevy conversion posted previously in the thread with the big side window. Never seen anything like it! Pretty cool.
On another topic, this craigslist post for a pretty original Landmark just turned up in New Jersey: http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4911612868.html
I imagine one of the folks from the UK might jump on it for that price and being on the east coast! _________________ ~Jeremy (and Jessica)

I'm not sure, the ceiling looks like it. I love the paintwork. Also, the big side window. It looks more like a Chevrolet Landmark conversion than a VW one. |
