What is the best way to remove the rubber from the aluminum trim without damaging it? Thanks for any help. Albert

Do you want to keep the rubber in reusable shape?

There should be holes at the end where you can push and get the end started.
Are there bolts on the back that you can push on too? Then perhaps you can fit a plastic upholstery tool between the aluminum and rubber to pry it up.

Much easier to do when mounted on a bumper so be careful not to bend the aluminum.

I think warming it up with a heat gun may also help a great deal.

Ive never needed to do that, but I would consider boiling the entire piece in water to soften the rubber and then would use a wooden dowel from the back side through the holes.
