Corey Patterson works for Peace Vans, doesn't he?

I hope it's not his van, he should know better to install a kill switch of some sort.

Another baffling example of how easy it is to steal a Vanagon, most of them are just sitting there waiting to be taken, no theft deterrent of any kind.

No plates should be easy to spot. That's its most distinguishing feature.

Here, we're required to have both front and rear plates,,,, UNLESS you have a "collectors" plate.
"collectors" plate is only on the rear.
I mentioned this when I applied for my "collectors" plate. Was told, "you can leave your old plate on the front.
My reply, "But, you just told me you're gonna scrub my old plate from the database, so doing that, it's gonna be a fraudulent plate on the front."..
Stupid bureaucracy....

Actually it seems most of these are recovered fairly local to where they were lifted.

In Mexico?!?!? What, did they put it on a flying carpet?

Ya, look in concentric circles starting at half a mile, and out to about 3 or 4 miles away from the location it was stolen from. Those seem to be the majority of "found" locations I've seen in recovered Vanagons in the last couple years.

I was just quoting the original description that says "No plates on" I assumed that meant the rear too, which I would think would be stopped by the police.
