He's not selling... just posted a video showing the details of the Westy. Definitely a sweet find. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Here's the one in my so-35:
It doesn't have a part number from what I can tell without removing it to look at the back, and I don't want to risk it breaking. _________________ Brandon |

Wow Brandon, thanks for posting as I did want to see it, so the blanking plate is to have a locking ignition?

Love this info as I always thought the steering lock was in addition to the ignition, I didn't realize a steering lock means you remove the ignition. Have they ever made a separate steering lock for our buses?
BTW the owner will be posting pictures in the future as to correspondence with him yesterday.

Do you mean a device that is solely a steering lock but without an ignition component?
There is probably an aftermarket accessory that did this back in the day but all of the VW-issued locks have the wiring too, to replace the ignition. _________________ How to Post Photos

Yes Everett I actually though VW made a lock without an ignition and I'll look for an aftermarket. Thanks I love how I learn at least 1 new thing a day about our beloved VW's even if I am late to the party

What a beauty gone today

I hope it stays in California. At least with these number plates. Maybe an OCTO-candidate? _________________ --------- VW ---------
