Pardon my bad French but due to its yellow paint and the fact it needs refreshing this is the name i chose.
The bus has a France export destination. It will return to its Tizian Red/Beige grey at some point. Will go on the back burner until the Ghia is finished. More photos once it is shipped from Canada

Birth Certificate arrived today. Shouldnt M Code stuff have appeared in the info? It was def a France delivered deluxe samba bus. Made 8/31/65 and delivered 9/9/65. L555 Tizian Red with L472 Beige Grey up top. 70 Mesh Platinum interior. More pics once it gets metal work done and gets shipped. Certificate showed up in less than a month

Keeping up with posts on the Ghia forum keeps me plenty busy so I'm not on other forums much, but I just stumbled on to this one. You sir are full of surprises. Looks like a nice find. These old buses are so cool. Can't wait to see more pictures. Congratulations. You must be excited for it to arrive.

Thanks and i am but i have to make room here at some point. With the Ghia still getting paint, i at least have some space to move things around once the weather agrees and i have the time both on the same day(s)!!

Nice '66, congrats!

I've only seen the mismatch of slash/pointed bumpers on the early '66's, and I've only seen the slash front, pointed rear combo on a mismatch. That is how my 10/07/65 was rumored to have been from the factory.

Seems like they ran out of rear slash bumpers, before using all of the slash front bumpers up.
