This 1967 Bus was purchased by a client on thesamba.com. I thought I would take some time to document the build on the website to share it's progress and hopefully it will inspire others to follow their dreams and buy that vintage VDUB Bus you've always wanted. There are many resources on this website and most contributors are more then willing to offer advice and or help.
The new owner had a long time dream of owning an split window bus. After a long search in his local area and through out California he decided to start his search outside of California in hopes of finding a bus that fit his budget. He searched theSamba.com on a daily basis to try to be the first to make an offer. After months of searching he finally saw an add from a seller from Maryland....that's not a quick trip down the road from California. He and the former owner connected and exchanged enough information where a deal was made.
After a price was decided and money exchanged, arrangements were made to have the bus shipped to it's new home in California. After a long journey across the country the bus finally made it to it's new home on the Central Coast in California.
This is will be the rest of the story.

Good find.
Nothing looks too scary as yet.
More pics will tell. _________________

After tearing down the bus, it turned out to be a lot better inside than I had original thought it was. The previous owner or previous previous owner had some make shift repair work done that will need to be addressed. The cab floors look decent for coming from Maryland....shocked:/ It has the typical rot over the jack points inside the cargo areas. Overall...I'm happy.
