this is how we celebrate dec 6th in Austria (L plates =Linz in upper Aistria)
St. Nikolaus gives candy to the nice children, Krampus scares the naughty ones

In the Netherlands they have Sinterklaas and the Zwarte Piet. The "Black Peter" is always a blackfaced white guy.
