Bosch fuel injected fuel pump wiring

Greetings. Note the picture is a new Bosch fuel pump for my 76 FI beetle sedan.

Simple, and probably dumb, question: which terminal is the positive? There are NO markings on the pump of any kind to indicate.

My assumption is the smaller terminal is the positive.

Your picture clearly shows a + sign under the left/small terminal and a - sign under the right/larger terminal.
Those markings are there to indicate +/power and -/ground.

Glad you got it figured out. You don't want it reversed believe me! A friend had his reversed and spent most of a weekend pulling his hair out. The pump will run, but pump absolutely no fuel. He was slightly upset when we found the issue Laughing
