Great pictures of it, without a doubt it's an impressive build. I'd not seen the front lid support bar before, so many great details unique to a W30. _________________ When I think of something to say - I'll be the first to know

Is this the primer or the final coat of paint? I'm loving either way, just want to know if it is time to update my model |

Looks like it's still in primer just as seen at the Volks World show. _________________ Check out my Facebook page: Volkswagen Prototypes. |

Amazing to see it more or less complete.
I recall that the frame is original, discovered 30 or so years ago. What engine are they using? _________________ Gone but not forgotten: 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1966) - another 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1996) |

There will be a book about the VW 30 soon. It comes from the same editor as the book about the VW 38, interestingly it has the same title. First the German edition will be released:

Fantastic news!
My library was in need of more early Volkswagen publications
While I would love to be reading the Deutsch version, I'll be one of those waiting eagerly for the English edition _________________ Collector of all things Volkswagen, Hazet and Matra.

It was stated in another thread where the frame was first shown off, that when found it had other parts of the drive train, but no specifics were given. It was stated that those items would be shown when the time was right. _________________ Chris
