I found these wires bundled under the seat on a 74 sunbug beetle that I'm trying to restore. I've went through several wiring diagrams and can't seem to find where they go. One wire is brown. One wire is Brown with a white stripe and one wire is yellow and orange. Any help would be appreciated..

what is the part you have your finger on? Looks like a voltage regulator. It would give a clue where the wires go. Wink

Those wire colors are part of the diagnostic system. Yellow with an orange tracer was for battery voltage, brown was ground and brown with a tracer was a switched by ground device. But that group of wires goes between the diagnostic plug and the associated devices.

That's the wiring and connector for the external voltage regulator.

The 4 wire connection is shown as T8 on here. The two wire connector with the large red/white strip wiring is Ta, and are related to the onboard diagnostics.
