Interesting to see that some of the photos show the sunroof being installed with the body off the chassis while others are fitted after the body and chassis have been mated.

How about the theory that 1958/9 Sunroof Vinyl Colours matched the vinyl around the lower edges of the seats, and on the door cards?

Not really sure. When the underexposure is corrected as shown below, it seems to me to more closely resemble Fjord Blue when compared with the paint & upholstery book coupons HERE.

Some of these can be difficult to nail down due to wide variances in how they appear due to different lighting. Even going off of supposed survivor or original paint cars in the gallery can be puzzling since they also tend to overlap quite a bit in hue.
