@Erik G, I missed buying that car three years ago when Kevin sold several of his VWs... missed it by a day! Think it went to the owner of CIP1. _________________ Russ

I know this is an old post from 2012. But my question is where can I found a roof rack for a razor?
I have already written with Pedro. But unfortunately he doesn't produce any more. _________________ 1978 Karmann Mobil

My two rebuilt type 34 ignition columns, both with NOS Kolb ignition switch and one with NOS signal arm. One may be up for trade.

Where can I buy or source glass for my rusty T34? It's the big thing keeping me from putting her back on the road. Good used is okay! _________________ "There is only one sin; disconnection from self." |

Good used is all you will get. ISP had windshields, but have sold out. Door glass and rear quarter pops up all the time, but you have to be on FB pages for Type 34's to catch them when they do pop up. I think there is a guy here in he classifieds with rears for sale. Fronts are the tough ones to find. Most are OG chipped and delaminated. _________________

Thanks gents, first post in a while. Here's a pic and I'm willing to travel or pay for shipping.
I've had her for a while, listed for a while, but I think it's time to do some fixing. _________________ "There is only one sin; disconnection from self." |

I just noticed both my Type 34 turn signal base have the 341 part number and have Netherlands nomenclature. Do They ALL have it?

I might be asking stupid question but please bear with me.
Patient: A '65 1500S
Problem: Horn blows as soon as I connect horn ground wire to the steering column connector bank.
If I've done my homework right it means I've a ground leak somewhere in the steering column itself?
The horn button is still missing and the ground wire at the hub is safely taped so it's not that.
If I read the wiring diagram correctly, horn has continuous 6V and horn button is on the ground side of the circuit, more or less same as in a Bug.
The question: Any ideas what would be the most probable position to short cuts like this?
Attaching bolts obviously, but IIRC I remembered to put all the insulating pieces around them, any others?
Otherwise the Project(tm) is almost done and I just need to get it inspected and registered and that won't happen without working horn. _________________ Kharon -- '62 typ1, '63 typ14, '61 typ21, '65 typ34, '74 412, '75 typ26

I checked the three I have and have two like yours and one that's not. PN are different - with are ending with 515 and the one on left ends in 503. I know the 503 is a 66 column and I'm sure the other two are 64s.

From the brain bank of Hedges - Parts suppliers to VW had to prove where the parts were made. They were tracking what percent of VWs were made in which countries for tax purposes.
Which I knew but replaced with some other bit of useless knowledge over the years.
So, then by 66 they may not had to do this? _________________
