Search the faqs at the top of this thread. Also try to pick up a copy of the VW factory Transporter workshop manual, looks like you need a 1959 version?

There's a cpl for sale in this link they are available in German too...

I'm sure there is one on The Samba somewhere in the Literature section but I couldn't see it. They are available elsewhere online though.

I have to finish this job until tomorrow evening. So I donīt have the time to order a manual.

I need to know which cable belongs to which pipe an which hasnīt a pipe.

There is no cable for foot brake.
The reserve and choke cables have their own sheaths when you buy new, but route under the seat up front. Do remove cable from stealth and lube with anti seize or grease, put back in sheath, before installing in bus.

What year bus? 59-60?
You really will find the workshop manual useful. There are more pieces to assemble, looks like.

This is a thread on rotisseries. Perhaps there are undercarriage pictures there
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=175412&highlight=rotisserie

There is a thread in installing heater cables, iirc. Perhaps in the faq?

Hope that helps.

So you don't have to wait days for a book to arrive...

The fuel reserve definitely isn't in a conduit, it's in a flexible bowden tube. The bowden tube is held at the lever under the cab at the front end and at a bracket welded to the cargo area floor rear of the rear crossmember and in front of the fuel tap. It's clipped on to one of the conduits. I think it clips on to the right hand heater cable conduit, but it might be clipped to the RH hand brake cable conduit.

Edit:- just seen that the picture below shows the clutch cable to be in a conduit. I thought it was just a bowden tube.
Re-edit:- I'm conflating the choke and clutch. Pretty certain the *choke* cable is in a bowden tube. Mine is disconnected and looped up out of the way at the rear (later engine with an automatic choke), so I've not paid much attention to its route.

This thread shows a diagram on Wolfsburg West's website that describes which conduit is which, for the cables that do go through conduit.

I had that same issue to deal with on my Frankenbus. All of the tubing was jacked up from the nose being torched off. Wolfsburg West has this diagram and the tubing you need.

This means they don’t go in metal tubes. Each comes with its own tube/flexible sheath. The choke cable is the one with the ribbing. The was held in place with a couple metal ties
