next I repaired the original tunnel cover that wasn't in a good shape but I was able to fully save it. it took a good amount of hours to get it repair and solid, I am happy to be able to reuse it !!

thanks for the comment, yes it requires some thinking when trying to repair and keep as much as original used part.

I see your thread and you are also make some good progress, and the some goes for you to find tricks to be able to move forward in your restoration.

I am currently installing the carpets now I am done with the tunnel cover. I will post picture soon.

I cleaned the e-brake cable they were in very good shape.

thanks for the words, addressing the details and try to keep as much as original part as possible is what I believe make the real difference in a preserved restoration.

As for the carpet I sent my OG carpet UK to a long time player in the VW vintage and made a copy of it with new german square carpet but we reused the og aluminum ring and red leatherette.
