First post here. Hopefully in right place. TOday while fixing my horn to get state inspection, I took the indicator switch out of the column and was so fragile, it broke. Little tiny metal pieces, springs etc everywhere. It is VW part # 113953503a. I have called a couple of part houses to no avail. Looked on the auction sites, etc.. I see some other new replacements available, but not exactly like mine. Not familiar with VW's so trying to learn. Any help, suggestions would greatly be appreciated. This is on my Buggy.

I think this one will fit and you have to use only the 4 wires you need and clip the rest. https://www2.cip1.com/vwc-311-953-513-b/
Here is what the wires do according to the site. You don't need the high beam lights and you can use just one of the wires per flasher side in my opinion. Good luck.
Wiring Colors:
grey = common
black/white/green = common
grey/black = left
black/white = left
green/black = right
grey/red = right
brown = high beam
brown/white = high beam _________________ TP in the Pack (I am a cyclist)

You could go after market... There are dozens of choices... Maybe something like this...

If you don't need the hi beam switch I think I might have a spare in my garage. I can send it to you.
I'm headed to the Portland Swap Meet next weekend and can look for one for you too if you like. _________________

Thx Gents!! I took a gamble and order the one you suggested TP. Cheap "experiment" to hopefully get me back up and operating. Just hope the steering wheel fits back as it's supposed to. Have been working on old european cars for years and it's always a "simple" job escalates quickly!
Thanks for the help, will report back once I receive it.

Yep, that’s the exact one I got. It’s not super pretty, but it does the job. |
