I have a front spindle that I can't figure out which inner wheel bearing it requires. The spindles are on an extended beam with chromoly arms that I've had for a few years. They appear to be a heavy duty version spindle and the inner bearing measurement on the spindle is 1.18in. I can't find a vw inner wheel bearing with a inside diameter that would work. Closest I can find is 1.14in id from a 70's Beetle.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

The spindle looks like a Porsche 356 spindle that the inner spacer/ seal race has been welded to spindle.
I don’t have a bearing number for you.
I heard that they are from the year 1958-59 356 model.
Empi is now making copies of the spindles complete with link carriers for around $900 each. _________________ Joseph

Wow that may be it because the inner wheel bearing for a 58-63 356 is 1.181in id. Thank you very much. |
