Search "Dehler VW T4". Most people do not know here in the states that Eurovan name was not used in Europe. It was called a T4 (same reason why they do not call "food" in Italy, "Italian Food"). This is why you can't find any information on it. Since it's over the 25 year rule, it's legal for what they stated.

Interesting seeing an "unusual German import" coming in via Japan. I wonder what else could be found this way. (I have a friend who is starting to get into odd and unusual Japanese imports.)

It's sad the interior isn't there. Dehler interiors are usually quite well thought out. I believe they're a yacht builder in Germany.

Had same thought re: the interior being gone. Also, yes re: them being a yacht company in Germany.

Those who've never seen a Dehler might find this BaT listing interesting:

My older son goes to Penn State studying Astrophysics. When I go there, right off of I-80 (exit 161) they are at the end of the exit ramp. They have a boatload of those Japanese Kei Trucks and Vans.

I found the link: https://www.tusseymountainmotors.com/inventory

Last year when I was at Road Atlanta, there was a dude with a 1991 Porsche 944S2 that was RHD, thus imported from Japan (as it had the Japanese stickers on it and lighting). They sold very few of those in the US when they were new, so Japan had to be a small number.

Wasn't previously familiar with the Dehler versions of these and did some searching. Here's a nice example that sold on BaT back in 2020. Very cool... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-volkswagen-eurovan-by-dehler-called-the-optima-5-4/
