Installed new Wolfsburg West seals on the rear hatch opening. They are the grey foam ones. Couldn't get the hatch to close as there is too much resistance from the seals. Removed the two side pieces, and it closed with just the top piece in place..
What is the best rear hatch seal currently available? Thanks.

Would help to know the year and/or if Brazil or German made bus. There were two rear hatches, small and big, each has it's problems/solutions.

I needed to slice the back of mine down about 1/8" along the bottom.
I kept thinking it would soften up, but that was the only answer

Bus is a 1956 ambulance, built in Wolfsburg.

Hinges from the bottom, latches at the top. Held open by chains.

Hinges are not adjustable (as far as I can tell). Maybe could be shimmed for vertical adjustment.

The top catch for the latch is a raised bump on the edge and not a separate piece.
