Essential items to take with from all of us that have been stranded. These can be parts, tools, manuals etc

Dedicated to working towards not having a separate account for towing expenses and elimination of towing insurance add-ons.

Also hope this helps anyone who may have become an alcoholic or addict from the hardships endured in your Eurovan journey.

You should carry a spare ignition switch, and a small screwdriver to change it out. Familiarize yourself with swapping out the serpentine belt.

I'd leave the idle air control valve home. They don't fail often, and the symptoms are annoying but workable.

I'd add a tire plugging kit, a roll of electrical tape, and perhaps an alternator voltage regulator.

Silicone rescue tape. A hammer, an 18 inch pipe to use as a force multiplier, and vice grips. AAA and a credit card.
