Long story short, my friends are on the road with their kids and one of the kidlets got a little over zealous and shattered the sliding window when he closed it. My buddy has sealed it up with a piece of cardboard for the interim, but is literally driving around the country (NY>GA>LA>WA>ID>IL>...) and is just starting their trip. From the little I have seen on the Samba replacing the piece of glass only is not doable? Any advise that I can pass on is welcomed. Incidentally, they'll be heading down 77 shortly.

Salem Auto Imports off 85, Westy motorwerks or Asheville VeeDub, both in Asheville, might have used options and could provide guidance. Just offering suggestions that aren’t totally off route.
