Did you happen to find a lot of excess ATF fluid in or around the bell housing? Wonder if one of those ATF hoses or banjo fittings came loose from circuit in the bell housing to carry ATF to the torque converter, loss of ATF in the torque converter would explain too much slippage between engine and tranny (i.e. wheels not turning) and metal shavings. _________________ I'm the humblest guy on this board.

I agree on the longevity, I've been driving my '69 Autostick with the modified wiring harness for 33 years, last I checked 16 years ago I could still read the part number ink samped on the friction surface of the clutch face when I repacked my original throwout bearing _________________ There is an idea of a Billmetric; some kind of abstraction.
