Is Bahama blue a not so popular color? Every time I go to a car shows I just don’t see Bahama Blue bugs. I have a 66 Bettle L519 Bahama Blue bug that I’m working on and I’m about to that point of getting it painted. |

My 66 is Bahama Blue and it’s very popular with me. I get lots of compliments about the color.

I just finished this 65 vert for someone, and it is very popular with everyone that has seen it
I always wonder if what I see still wearing OG paint is just luck, or if it represents a color that was more popular.
Anyway, it IS a nice color, especially after it was buffed out

I literally bought a 66 bahama blue bug yesterday.. I have me work cut out for me. Got it running today and got the flasher and hazard situation figured out as a PO rengineered the one year only flasher system..
I like the color, sometimes its blue sometimes its greenish.. _________________ _________________________________________

Nacho, it's funny about that, I've had three BB '65s, still have two (though one was painted white prior to my stewardship). It seems like they're a dime-a-dozen around here, I'd swear they painted more '65s and '66s in BB than any other Beetle color in history. There were at least 6 at the most recent Kelley Park show in San Jose.
The strange part for me is, the first two BBs that I've had just fell in my lap, I wasn't searching out that color (or the cars, for that matter). But the one in my gallery is a keeper, whereas the white one, I might unload one it day, it's a project. I tend to prefer Gulf Blue, or Fjord Blue, or even the later VW Blue. _________________ My name's Steve and it's pronounced "Bust 'em" (cuz people think I'm Tom) 😏 |
