I planning to buy a pan to make a Meyers Manx. I just looking for measurement.

Found seat that I want to use.
Seat height is 13" from what I found.

Now looking for the steering wheel shaft height from floor to shaft center.
This is chase I have to make a dash frame.

Also is the column tube has a flare for the bearing and turn signal?
What is the size of the tube? I have to make one if the price is not right at that time.
I plan to use a new 1968 Mexico steering shaft because of the safety of it.

But it can change if I find a cheap bug heading for the scrap yard.

Thanks for the info.

The stock seat is 14" off the floor, measured at the front edge of the seat bottom.

The shaft is about 22" from the floor, measured at the point where the shaft passes thru the bracket attaching it to the underside of the dashboard.

The bearing fits inside of the tube...no flare. The turn signal assy. fits around the outside of the tube.

The tube's outside diameter is 1.58", or 40mm.

Note: All the above info was taken from my stock '63 sedan. Later cars might be a bit different
