I was going to hold off buying a full top until the Fall but The Thing Shop put them on sale. Laughing Ordered on Monday, received today. Could have gone white but ordered in black this time.

About choked when I saw the box busted open when Fedex delivered it. Luckily, those people at the the Thing shop had taped or wired any loose parts to the main unit. No lost parts!!!

The Top on Frame is indeed a complete deal. Frame, top, straps, washers, clips and hooks and latches,....with screws. The whole enchilada.

Decided to heed their advice and install on a hot sunny day in order to make the vinyl more cooperative. Once installed, the top bow sat about 5 inches high from the windshield hook. A bit of time in the sun and a gentle pull made everything come together.

I believe my previous top was a Robbins. Good quality. Sadly it didn't survive the fire.

Plan to order some matching curtains. Love the glass windows but hard to justify the expense.

Looks good Semper, did you get the hold down straps with it (for when the top is lowered)?
When I restored my 73 while stationed in Germany in the 80s, I picked up some web belts at clothing sales at the Exchange.

I got the boot instead. I really like how the boot protects the top from windage when traveling down the road. I do still have my previous hold down straps.

I'll keep this top on for a couple of weeks until the sun and hot weather relaxes and sets the vinyl. Then I'll go back to the Bikini till late Fall.
