All of the measurements are in these drawings:
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/local_manufacture/tools-600-649.pdf

The toolnumber is 609

I was not able to bent the tubes, that's why I chose to cut and weld.

The clamp I used is a standard industry part I bought used from eBay.

Thank you Antoine. Unfortunately I couldn't use it as much as the previous years. Spent most of my vacation time in the US this year. Unfortunately couldn't take the bus with me.

Today the weather was good for the first time in awhile. The van was due for an oil change. And I had planned to replace the oil pump with one with a filter.

Unfortunately the studs were a bit short, I ended up screwing them out a couple of mm. I think I might replace them the next time I do an oil change.

Thats a great option vs. a full flow setup as no hoses to deal with. Just have to be sure your exhaust will clear.

Yes, I checked that before I bought the pump. The stock OEM Muffler has the preheat tube on the right side, so does the NOS Leistritz which I still have as a replacement. Once I have used them up, I need to make sure to get the right type. I would probably got with some kind of stainless steel replacement.
