|
|
A friend and I are starting a new buggy project. I have a buggy built on a tube frame. Is is interested in building on simular, but I got my frame and body in TX. We don't want to travel or crate ship that far from NJ so we might go with a Berrien Boggy dealer in PA.
Has anyone built or own one of these? Just want to know the quality and what you think. Any suggestions about this project are welcome. We decided to do this two days ago.
He wanted to build a cobra, but the budget calls for a dune buggy. |

Nice work. The red looks good. Where did you get the body and frame from? Did you use berriens square frame and fiberglass floor pans? Does the frame come painted or powdercoated, or just bare metal? I see a welder in the backgorund, did anything require welding? Are you putting side pods on it? What sterring column setup are you going with? I' have a ton of questions. oh, what rear suspension do you have in it? I'm sure I'll think of more.
Thanks

Nice work. Thanks. The red looks good. Where did you get the body and frame from? Came directly from Berrien. Did you use berriens square frame and fiberglass floor pans? Yes. Does the frame come painted or powdercoated, or just bare metal? Bare metal, we painted it black. I see a welder in the backgorund, did anything require welding? We added a strap to the chassis directly beneath the fiberglass floor. It would be where one would stand to get in the car. Are you putting side pods on it? Yes. What sterring column setup are you going with? Using the steering supplied by Berrien, haven't gotten to that yet. I' have a ton of questions. oh, what rear suspension do you have in it? IRS. I'm sure I'll think of more.
Thanks
