Will a 68-71 Bay Westfalia bed fit into Split Bus?

Interested in fitting a 68-71 westfalia bed into a 67 bus. Is it possible and if so is there any modifictaions that must be done to do so.

Did a search on here but can not seem to find any details concerning this.

I put a '71 bed assembly in my '66. I did not use the original wood pieces as I fabbed a full- width bed making patterns but longer, using adequate thickness of plywood. In any case, be advised that the supports mounted to the slope will have to be adjusted to assure the bed sits level when folded down. I figure you can just use the hardware from any Westy bed, so long as you factor in the leveling.

Did a search for "Westfalia Bed" and check marked the "Titles Only" and got these results.

It should fit with some adjustments you might need to tweak the supports to ensure the bed sits level when folded down.

My 66 has a 71 Westy bed and cabinet which folds up and down just fine. I had to add a leg to support the overhead shelf on the side away from the closet and whoever fitted it originally trimmed the wood to clear the hatch hinges.
