Hi Friends,
I'm installing some clone Webers on my 914. I have CB linkage and air cleaner bases. I initially tried installing the bases with the linkage facing toward the rear of the car, but the linkage would not clear the torsion springs for the trunk. I reinstalled the filter bases with the linkage toward the front of the car. Everything clears, but the way the linkage needs to rotate means that the cable would likely have to come from the rear of the car, likely requiring a custom cable. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to how others have set this up?
In this photo, you can see that the linkage would want to rotate counter-clockwise:

Remove ,rotate 180° the central linkage arm around the hex bar then refit . That should do it.. |

The hex bar still has to rotate in the counter-clockwise position regardless of how it is lever is installed. I'd like to pull it from the bottom, as if installed in a non mid-engine setup. Like a Bus. _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.

Doesn't fix your CB linkage issue but CSP makes a linkage that will work in a 914. It uses the stock throttle cable and cable bracket.

Thanks, Scott.
I did come up with a solution that I'm happy with. I'll post some pictures when I have it fully set up. It uses the stock cable, isn't complex and should work well. _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.
