Looking at the reservoir from inside the cabin, I've got low fluid on the right chamber and full on the left. Which one is for front or rear? Not able to raise the thing right now but used a flashlight to verify no leaks at the MC .

Nobody knows? Well, I guess I'll find out when I bleed the brakes.

Look at the hoses that connect from the res to the master cylinder-one feeds the front the other the rear

On a 50 year old car, it is unlikely that the master cylinder, or its supply hoses are original.
Since there is no right or wrong way to route the supply hoses, it's a 50-50 choice.

However, you could peer through the driver's side wheel arch, and probably see
How the hoses are routed.

At the master cylinder, the single steel line at the rear runs to the rear brakes.
The front brakes have individual steel lines connected at the front of the MC.

Jack up one side of thing or whatever car have somebody hit the rakes. Spin both front and rear wheels. if one spins freely that's the end of the car with the empty side and the problem end of the car. Thing, bus, bug ,gia,Chevy,whatever..good luck..Bill VT & PR
