Good morning - I want to apologize, I did search the forum and I did find some threads related to rear seats specifically, but, they were all older than about 2011 and would display in an archival format sans pictures. So, they weren't that helpful to me.

I have someone interested in purchasing this seat from me which I am fairly certain is out of a 1957-1958 Beetle. (I promise, I did research)

Am I correct in my research?

Thank you, again, the threads displayed in archived format minus pictures so the weren't all that helpful. I did search the classifieds and sort of arrived around the same conclusion.

Yup. 56 or 57. Earlier seat bottoms had coil springs. Earlier seat backs had a slotted mount held by two bolts on each side.

I suppose it could be post-57 but I'm not familiar with non-oval years.

Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it - like I said, I was fairly certain but since the older threads were coming as archived and didn't have pictures, I didn't fully know for sure. I didn't want to falsely mislead someone or misrepresent them.
