Lots of little things for this months rotation. Lots of filling and grinding Most notable, all the support braces have been removed and the radio hole has been repaired.

Jason got a lot of little things done this month. Filled holes and smoothed out small dents all over. The most significant things are the roof and both cowls got the treatment.
The most significant thing this month is the body is out of the rotissery and ready to be reunited with the pan next month. Jason plans on bolting it down with all new seals and hardware to set the door gaps along with the hood and decklid.
We are that much closer to paint!

Rad work, but my favorite part is the tree log you use in the shop! I do the same thing with beam scraps etc. They work great to hammer on or even dish out for a certain profile you're trying to achieve with metal. Cheers Jason! _________________ 52' Split

More of today''s progress.
The dash started going back together.
Jason had to repair the glove box door latch catch.
Then on to the hood latch.
Next was the mud doors. The drivers side need the lower portion replaced.
Once that was fixed, They were installed with fresh rubber.
A few more pieces got the blasting treatment as well.
I need a decklid latch for a lowlight. Anyone got one for sale?
Lastly, the tail lights got fitted.

I always look forward to the updates.
Simply amazing work.
Are you planning on using later marker lights?

I am not sure what you are asking. Those are the correct turn signals for a December 1957 KG.
What is a "later maker light"?
FYI, I have NOS turn signal housings and headlight rings. _________________ '58 Ghia 2387cc with a Berg / Folts 5 Speed

I thought they look very similar to the later Ghia's.
I thought lowlights had a similar front markers like this.
Trylons 59
After looking at 57's and 58's it's plain to see I was wrong.
Learned something new. Carry on |
