No one repros them today, but there are some hardboard/thin plywood panels for sale that are cut and marked well. I can't find them at the moment in the classifieds, though.

I used sound deadening felt from an upolstery shop. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

In my 71 Notch I used some sisal padding and some hard cardboard that wrapped some polished stainless steel from work (it was headed for the dumpster). Worked great. On my 65 Notch, I used a hot water heater blanket to cover the floor (including the hatch cover). It's been in there since 2002.
