Hello Everett, mods, and fellow Samba mates!

Two part question here...

1) I'm a decent poster here on TS when I can be helpful, but I've never used these three buttons on the "post" page. Can some one explain the "Code", "List", and "List=" options?

2) I think I've seen this before on TS, but it seems to be a feature not often used. How to you link a page from another website using a "word" as the mechanism to move you to that other site? These "words" are usually like a hyperlink but colored in blue I believe. I hope that makes sense... and I'm not talking about the URL button, as that shows the actual website, Example: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/.

Plenty of websites explain the use of BBCODE.

It looks like you got it now.

Thanks to Glenn for posting some links that explained things.

I rarely use the Code option but I sometimes use it because it gives fixed-size text, which can be useful sometimes so text lines up in columns.

Example:
Code:
A B C
1 2 3

List I rarely use, although it can be useful if you want to make an indented list.

The Vanagon FAQ has a good example of [list] being used:
