I lost one of the end caps for my mirrors and this seams like the best option for me. Now they will be better then OEM and safer. Thanks again.

These are not surface mounted, they under the glass just like an OE or original part.

Just bumping that thread up because I was thinking about doing that mod over winter break.
But it looks like the transparent caps are not available at shapeways any longer? I get an error message trying to follow the link. I'm fairly certain that you could still order them in spring/summer

Does anyone know of an alternative? Either a different website or a different solution all together?
A saw the under the mirror glass version, but I'd prefer the mirror cap placement.

Nice thread bump.

Turn signals at the mirror is an attractive mod. I'd be inclined to install a quality (@tjet?, the link I have isn't working) version of the style below (just grabbed off the internet) to the bottom of the aero mirror (maybe a bit more visibility being 6" farther out?).

Ferd, pls. post pics if you make the mod.
