Hi guys, I'm putting my 62' Type 34 back together and I can't figure where to plug each wiper washer hose on the pusch button switch.
I've put numbers to each plug for you to help me out! Thanks!!

I checked a 511A and a 511B version of the assembly and they are not marked with any arrows showing the direction of water flow. The service manual appears to be silent on this question. It likely does not matter...it is simply a spring loaded control valve. But perhaps the most natural routing of the hoses would be (1) connected to washer tank, and (2) connected to the squirter on the cowl. _________________ "Criticism comes easier than Craftsmanship"

Yeah, I didn't see any plumbing diagrams for the switch either. I'd probably hook up a hose and blow into it to make sure it's not flowing any air, and do the same while pushing the button.
On my own car, I just routed around the valve ( installed one long hose) and installed a micro switch to run the electric pump. I did that as I didn't want any fluid leaking on my new carpet. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

In the 90's I installed a microswitch on the back of the stock wiper switch, activated by the stock plunger, for a '69 Notch. Going electric with an inline pump worked more consistently than the stock pressurized air system. I'm sure the '62 style panel could be similarly modified in a reversible manner, if desired. Otherwise, yes, make sure that the valve is leak-free and stock up on SP set 407. _________________ "Criticism comes easier than Craftsmanship"
