I see this and I do a double take. Hmm... Is it a deluxe, no. Is there a sunroof, no. Maybe its a slider, no. Ok it must be a rare camper, no. Ok well, maybe there is box of NOS trip speedos or Ambulance fans, no. So if I pay $25 k and spend hundreds of hours on bodywork, paint (including removing spreading surface rust) interior, and mechanicals, not to mention thousands more $$$ for parts, I could have a regular Kombi.

For $25K I bet you could buy a decent Kombi that you could drive today.

25k project BIG project it will cost another 25k to get it back on the road but in this economy who knows. Unless you have a special bus or some rare bus I don’t think it would be worth it.

Looks like an "oh shit I'm in too deep" sort of situation. And the seller is in Methdesto, but the bus is in AZ, so maybe it's a flip gone sour?

Could be, but I bet you could negotiate on that huge collection of vintage vice grips!
Nice interior shots on that lotus white bus confirm my research on headliner beading placement and termination clips on 65-67 busses, and clean vertical fold of the headliner behind the front driver seat.

Corey is a solid guy, and a regular at the local events. I believe this was his dads project, who passed away earlier this year. |
