Since I live in OKC I hate to see anything negative happening....but Canoo is junk. Not design wise. They had really interesting (not good looking) vehicles that had very useful features for work trucks and maximum space usage for small cargo vehicles.....but the electric part is what's worthless.
If they can take the same platform and put in a hybrid or gasoline/diesel power plant....they could easily stay in business.
Transverse leaf spring suspension that males for a perfectly flat cargo area. It's part of what the post office liked.

Their small cargo van like what the USPS might use....has a fairly unique |

World wide changes, I just done like how these are being crammed down our throats for people that don't want them. The newest car I own is 25 years old now and still going strong. How many of these EV's will be around in 2050?

7. Japan plans to ban sales of new gas cars (except hybrids) by 2035.

Countries with densely populated cities, with mostly only street parking, business on ground level and apartments above, what will the logistics of this look like?
This summer I visited cities in Italy such as Florence, Naples, and Genoa. Those are dense cities with most of their residents residing in city limits. Granted, European cities like these are very walkable, much more that we have in the US, but there were still plenty of automobiles. I cannot fathom how they will charge an EV in city limits for those that reside there in apartments. Furthermore, street parking for these residents are at a premium, so much so that if a good curbside spot is captured, people are likely to leave their auto there and use the walkability features that many dense EU cities have... You put a charger in that spot, that auto may sit there for weeks before it moves. I've seen it plenty of times with my travels and living abroad in my military days. _________________ -1967 Sundial Camper 1914cc "Sunny"

A bunch of saber rattling by most of the countries on your list.
Most of which are considered "3rd world" and will never pull this off in the timeframe suggested, if at all
you look at our infrastructure and how delicate it is here in 2024, no way will these other countries even be close to where we are today in 10 more years. _________________

All of this climate change bullshit is being instigated by the WEF (World Economic Forum). Their main objective is to form a One World government. They are using climate change as the excuse to extort money out of the USA. They are expecting the USA to pay for it all.
Same with the Paris Climate Accord. That's just the same scam to get USA to give money to all these poor countries.
The WHO (World Health Organization) is another international group that is trying to extort money out of the USA. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

You better hurry, the Chinese are already on that! They own a good big chunk of us now.
As for better government? I would just say "different". In your country it's the biggest blowhard with the fattest wallet that gets in. Here we value the emptiest head, preference given to acting ability...
I didn't say that out loud did I? Shame on me!
Ya! After nearly 70 years of watching politics I am pretty disillusioned with ALL of them. Sufficient for that! Back to the subject at hand.
I saw my first Tesla truck in the flesh last weekend. Good Lord that thing was ugly! My first thought was "That guy is late for the Halloween parade! Cardboard sprayed silver? And you paid how much for that?" _________________ Our cars get old, we get old but driving an old VW never gets old! |

Even worse than the Cyber truck entry price, is that many of them are being painted or vinyl wrapped to avoid their rust issues. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

funny, Elon was everyone's hero....until he wasn't
I'm not a fan of EV's for a bunch of reasons but the CT is for sure ugly. The "rust" issues are false. It's metal particles in the air from brake pad/rotor wear.
You can see such "specs" on cars with plastic bumpers.
Delorean's had the SAME issue. Look it up.
Anyway, Yea, the price is nuts but so is your average F-1fiddy. It's about 55k for a "rubber mat" strip down 8 foot bed 2wd offering. Basically, car prices are just plain out of touch. _________________

so they're really going to turn those diesel powered aid trucks away?
9. Sri Lanka is going a step further with a full road ban for combustion engine cars, tuk-tuks and motorcycles by 2040 and kiss goodbye to their economy

my additions in bold, and I'm sure c02 emissions are at the top of Ukraine's concerns right now... as for europe and uk - watch the deadlines roll back and excuses made (at cop#whatever) as the infrastructure targets are missed. meanwhile car companies are being financially penalised for not selling enough evs when the public don't want them. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

That's all pie in the sky wishful thinking anyway. You can't take any of that seriously. When I was 18 I was convinced I would retire a wealthy business owner at 40 years old... then reality happened! _________________ Our cars get old, we get old but driving an old VW never gets old! |

As more EVs hit the roads, it’s obvious that more are going to be in accidents, however, it seems that a higher percentage are killing their occupants with post impact fires.
I doubt the occupants lived through the initial impact, but…

the one where math works, which is clearly a different planet than you live on
Base MSPR from google is 39,345. average loan rate is 5.5% therefore you're 51,100 all in, MINUS property taxes.
and just for proof:
so, 55k is about right, give or take. it would be about 1100/yr in property tax.
something tells me your math isn't mathing, but it's ok. it happens to a lot of people
Funny, people think I post to just post and not have hard evidence to back it up... _________________
