Hi there
This company advertise on Facebook.
3 months ago I contacted Jerry at RetroVee to discuss the purchase of a new motor for my beetle.
I paid for the motor.
I was told a few days later, the courier had picked up my motor.
The courier is called Omniship logistics freight.
That was in September 2024.
I am still waiting for the motor to arrive.
I have numerous messages from Jerry.
and emails from the Omniship courier.
I believe now that I am a victim of a clever scam.
RetroVee Power-Motors are based in Texas.
I have a 1974 beetle I am restoring. Because of this scam I will not be able to finish the project.

I have tried to resolve the issue.
Emailed the chap who built the motor.
I asked for references from other customers he had sold to.
There were 3 in total.
Two of the references both claimed to have brought a motor from the Retro motor builder.
In both cases the grammar and description from both customers seemed to be written by one person?
One of the customers was here in Australia.
When I asked for photos of any thing VW he eventually showed me two classic VWs which both appeared to be left hand drive. He then explained he had imported both vehicles from this chap in Texas.
After they were both restored.
Yeah, right??? 
I have since reported these 2 profiles to FB, I said they were a scam, and both profiles have disappeared.
This Jerry Moore (retro motor Builder) in Texas has a business page on FB.
It has also disappeared.
It is a sorry state of affairs when anyone now must consider any thing or anyone as a false entity.
Makes me wonder what the interenet will be like in 20 years?
