we got a 69 baja bug and previous owner has the EMPI race trim high back seats like these https://www.kustom1warehouse.net/Race_style_suspension_seats_p/superseathighbackplus2.htm?gQT=1
and they added these https://empius.com/products/slide-slide-6-pr-2/ race trim seat risers but what they did was just welded a bracket on the floor with some bolts to bolt the risers to.
my question is, is there a way to properly use those seats but also use them with the original factory sliders on the floor?
the sliders in the seat riser link above are not in the car or the seat so i wasn't sure if i had those would i be able to use the factory sliders with the seats/risers we have?? |

I guess you want to have adjustable seats? You can add the adjusters that came with the mounts. Or cut apart factory seats and steal the bottom framing. Then it’s up to you to make it work. I did it on 73 and up style sliders. It was a pain, but I added them to Scion seats. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

I always worry about the attachment points for seats on the VW pan. The originals were poor so adding even more weight and fulcrum potential IMO just can lead to failure in an accident.
If I was actively using the baja off road, I'd be looking at adding some sort of reinforcement for the brackets or seat slider under the pan to bolt to. Or to cross brace across a roll bar if you have one?? _________________ 1968 1500 RHD Lotus White Beetle since birth. In the hospital for major surgery
