Bumpers are assembled, now its time to wrap them up and put on the shelf untill the bus is painted
Also did some bodywork on the visible area's on the inside.
Hope to get the inside in epoxy primer soon _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Thanks!
Roof and engine bay are the only without primer.. so i am currently sanding the engine bay and remove the roof gutter seam seal.. what a pain in the..
Still don't know if i paint the engine bay with my spraygun or just rattle can it!
In the past i had some good results with 2k color rattle cans!
Let sand it first and then decide _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Engine bay is in epoxy primer!
Seam sealer in the roof gutter is also removed.
Soms small surface rust under the sealer, nothing too bad!
Bought an inflatable spray booth to spray doors/lids etc in final primer!
I still don't know if i am gonna paint the bus myself or not.. let see first how the final primer in the spray booth turns out!

Roof in epoxy today,
This was the last so everything is covered in primer now!
Time for some filler and straightening!

The spray booth is too small for the entire bus..
I bought the booth to spray final primer after bodywork on all doors, hatches and other small parts. _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Cargo area painted in final primer, i want the inside and outside in a dark primer so the Beige grey/Titan red color is a little bit darker.
couldn't resist so prepped and painted the dash undertray and air vent cover in beige grey

After a long time waiting (16weeks) my TMI seat covers finaly arrived!!
Super stoked with the mesh platinum color
Now i need to order the WW coconut/horsehair seat pads and then the seats are finished!
Do i need to 'hog ring' the pads onto my seat frame or not? Because WW pads already folds around the seat frame?

Originals were not hog ringed I'm pretty sure. I have the same TMI covers to go on but Mine are walkthrough. We are supposed to use the string to pull in wire. |

Thanks!
Did you insert a metal rod into the covers to put over the sharp clips? _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:
