What are you guys doing for Bowden tube mounting in a tube frame car? I can plug it in to the transmission hole on the front but I have nothing for the other end. |

Ive had / run a couple that didnt have the front of the tube mounted. Even like that it was better than no tube at all _________________ "how am i supposed to torque the rear wheel nut to 250 ft lbs??? " - clonebug

Find a spot on the chassis that you can mimic the “bow”. Then fabricate your own. A piece of tubing that the Bowden Tube fits will work. Then weld it in place.
On a lot of tube chassis cars, everything is custom or handmade. |

Tube frame cars are fabrication projects..... Fabricat what you need.... _________________ “Fear The Government That Wants To Take Your Guns"

You running solid mounts or something else? Never had a need, even my baja's had solid mounts and straps. The only thing moving then is my foot on the pedal. _________________ My cut in half and rebuild thread

I figured I'd have to make something, I was just wondering what everyone else came up with is all. I'm running rubber mounts that have maybe an hour of running time on them. |

I cobbled the forward end of my bowden tube, using 4 hose clamps around a couple small roll'd up pieces of sheet metal:
Check out this far more elegant adjustable solution:

ive run several with and without the Bowden tube and if I can, I'll run one. not that you have to have it but it does add a nice " spring" to the cable, it helps give it a little slack while also keeping tension on it. _________________ "how am i supposed to torque the rear wheel nut to 250 ft lbs??? I had some left over evil energy braided fuel/oil tubing. It's got a Teflon tube running down the inside so the cable slides through it easy. I run it from the pedal to the fan shroud where I've got an aluminum tube with a little pulley wheel on it. Works good. Still need to trim it yet. _________________ One day, I may learn.

I made this out of a small aluminum bar. It bolts on with the front most crankcase half bolt. Without it the throttle was so hair trigger I looked like a woodpecker trying to drive at slow speeds! That is with solid engine mounts.

On my friends Towd he ran copper tube down the center of the chassis and welded a steel seatbelt clip from an old harness to the torsion tube. The hole in the clip was ironically the perfect fit for the copper and Bowden-tube union. It didn't look great but worked perfectly. |

Well I hand plasma cut some 1/4" plate I had laying around and made a holder for the back of the tube, it's heavy duty AF but it's all I had. Initially the tube had way too much bend so I whacked it down until I liked it. Works perfectly and my clutch is smoother than ever.
