Working through my mock up. I’m having some issues with belt line up. Seems the back charger belt will interfere with the generator pulley ?
Maybe use a thin lip early pulley?

Here is a little lesson in belts. Gates v belt part numbers are kinda simple. I learned when it wasnt metric and we used books to look up parts.
They measure the outside of the belt. Where all the writing is.
7 series belts are 10mm-3/8 width
9 series are 12mm-1/2 width
The rest of the numbers are the circumference on the outside of the belt.
Its not 100% accurate but its within 1/2"
7350
is a 3/8" width 35"-ish long belt.
9555
is 1/2" and 55.5"ish log belt.
I believe Goodyear and Dayco measure on the inside.
This will at least get you close.
BTW...Gate Serpentine belts are kinda different. They call them Micro V.
K060966 is:
6 rib/V and 96.6" long on the outside.
Gates Metric micro V belts is
6KP1660 is:
6 rib/V and 1660MM circumference.
Im not going to talk about stretch belts. Stretch belts are stupid. _________________ Everything burns if you get it hot enough. |
